Battery capacity and playtime
GLO has a 2300 mAh battery. Under normal use, it provides up to 18 hours of playback on a full charge. Playback time will vary depending on volume level, use of the mood light, and temperature.
Charge time
A full charge takes up to 5 hours from empty, using a 5V/2A USB-C power source.
Healthy charging habits
- Avoid leaving GLO on charge for extended periods after it is fully charged. The charge light turns off when the battery is full.
- Try not to run the battery completely flat on a regular basis. Charging from low rather than empty puts less stress on the battery.
- Store the speaker at a partial charge, not fully drained, if you will not be using it for an extended period.
- Keep the speaker away from extreme heat or cold during charging and storage. High temperatures in particular degrade lithium batteries over time.
Long-term battery performance
All rechargeable batteries lose capacity gradually over time through regular charge cycles. This is normal. If you notice significantly reduced playtime after extended use, the battery may have degraded.
