Exposure to salt water, sand, sunscreen, and chlorinated water can damage your GLO speaker over time. Follow these steps after each outing to keep it in good condition.
Rinsing off salt water and pool water
- Rinse the exterior of the speaker with fresh water as soon as possible after salt or pool water exposure. Use a gentle flow of water, such as a faucet or a poured bottle. Do not use high-pressure water.
- Gently wipe the fabric and rubber surfaces with a soft cloth to remove residue.
Removing sand
- Shake the speaker gently to dislodge loose sand.
- Use a soft dry brush or cloth to remove remaining sand from the fabric and around the buttons.
- Rinse with fresh water if sand is trapped in crevices.
Drying GLO before charging
- Wipe the exterior dry with a soft cloth.
- Hold the USB-C port face down and gently shake the speaker to remove water from the port area.
- Leave the speaker in a well-ventilated area to air dry for at least 1 hour before charging.
- Do not charge until the port and surrounding area are completely dry. Connecting a cable while moisture is present can cause charging errors or damage.
Do not use heat sources such as a hair dryer to speed up drying, as heat can damage the speaker.
